PRACTICAL POINTS FOR DISCUSSION:
1. When spiritual leaders are commissioned for service, it is a solemn, public occasion (Leviticus 8:1-3).
2. Cleansing is the first need for a leader to become ready for service (Leviticus 8:4-6).
3. Just as Aaron and his sons were clothed in holy garments, so we must be clothed in robes of righteousness (Leviticus 8:7-9; Isaiah 61:10).
4. Our worship cannot be acceptable to God unless it is first cleansed by Him (Leviticus 8:10-11).
5. To be effective in service to God, we must be demonstrably set apart to Him (Leviticus 8:12-13).
