INTRODUCTION. I’m sure that most people, if not all will agree that division among family, friends, churches and nations is not a good idea. It is true that God used the division of Israel to chastise His people for Solomon’s disobedience to Him (see I Kings 11:31-40). But God is a God of unity. We will see in this week’s lesson that even though the division between the ten northern tribes of Israel and the two southern tribes of Judah has existed for about three thousand years, a day is coming when they will be united again. There will be one King ruling, not only for the Israelites, but for the whole world as Christ reigns as Messiah.
