INTRODUCTION. The apostles often faced arrest and persecution for their faith. It cost them dearly to live by their commitment to Jesus Christ. God gave them boldness that they did not have in themselves. They were determined to preach Christ in spite of all opposition. In short, they lived in the power of the resurrected Christ. We, too, can and should live in the power and provision of our Saviour. Peter was weak and fearful in himself, but when he claimed the power of Jesus Christ, he became strong in faith. As we study this lesson, we want to see our faith strengthened from seeing the conviction and determination that the apostles showed.
