INTRODUCTION. God’s love is most powerfully demonstrated in the death of Jesus, His Son, on the cross for our sins. However, Jesus’ death would be meaningless if He hadn’t risen from the dead. If there was not resurrection, our King would be defeated, His battle with death would be lost, and we would be without hope of salvation (see I Corinthians 15:16-19). Jesus Christ rising from the dead was a glorious thing! In this week’s lesson, we will review the historical account of Jesus’ resurrection as it is recorded in the Gospel of John.
