PRACTICAL POINTS FOR DISCUSSION:
1. Godly people can be confident of God’s continued goodness toward them regardless of outward circumstances (Psalms 73:1).
2. We must not allow the passing experiences of life to lead us to wrong conclusions about the character of God or the value of following Him (Psalms 73:2-3, 12-13).
3. There are no satisfactory answers to the difficult questions of life apart from God and His revealed truth (Psalms 73:16-17).
4. The wicked who prosper must never be envied, for their security rests in a false hope (Psalms 73:18).
5. It is utter foolishness for any believer to envy anyone who has sacrificed eternal rewards for worldly pleasures (Psalms 73:21-22).
6. The answer to discontentment and dissatisfaction is living with an eternal perspective (Psalms 73:23-26).
